Why Eating Too Healthy Is Dangerous For Your Health

Fruit diets, fruit juice diets, banana and milk diets, high protein diets, chia seed infused water, salads, Vegan food, sugarless snacks, low fat foods, organic foods, fortified foods, innumerable ranges of organic vitamins, supplements etc……
We have it all….
We also have more obesity, more cancer, more diabetes, more depression, more mental decay, more medication, more vitamin deficiencies, more time spent with doctors and in hospitals..
On our endeavor to get healthy, we may actually be doing more harm then good, if we don’t understand the physiology of the human body and mind.
Too much of a good thing is bad…..even food…
Yes, fruits are extremely nutrient dense foods, but it does not mean we constantly eat them.
Protein is needed, its good for repair, tone, muscle, recovery, but it does not mean we need more and more of it.
Many fats may be bad, but it does not mean we stop eating fat completely.
It’s a very common belief that to be healthy, we need to eat more and more healthy foods.
Pure Ghee on a fresh hot wheat roti? What’s’ worse, the ghee or the roti ?
Most people with say Ghee, as it’s a fat and fat causes cholesterol and high cholesterol causes heart attacks… which really isn't’t the case in most people who have cardiac arrests or strokes. There are may many other reasons,,
I would worry about the roti,,,the wheat,,,where has the wheat come from,,is it GMO ? How processed is it?
Our beliefs about healthy foods need to be balanced with the understanding of what our body really needs and how our body assimilates nutrients from the food we eat..
A fruit diet is going to do anything but cleansing……
Too much protein intake is going to do more harm than just repair or muscle build..
This is when good food turns bad.
When we have too much of even a good thing, it ceases to be good, and can in fact cause harm.
There is absolutely no doubt that fruits and vegetables are rich in vitamins, minerals and all things good, and that they also contain fibre, which prevents constipation and other gastric problems.
But too much fibre (for instance, when you eat platefuls of raw green leafy vegetables or salads like radishes day in and out) can mess things up – big time.
Excess fibre often causes bloating, abdominal cramps and gas right away.
In the long term, it can interfere with the absorption of minerals like iron, zinc, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus, causing some serious deficiencies.
Fruits also contain natural sugars, no harm in that, but too much is bad…your body only used what it needs,,the rest gets stored as fat or becomes waste and all waste is waste, whether its from a fruit or a samosa..Waste is toxic.
Insane workouts or working out too much,,,I have a question for you,,is it really really working,,are you really getting the desired body you have in mind?
Or are you using exercise as a way of punishing your body because you ate too much?
It just doesn’t work,,, your body has a life, so does your bones, your muscles and joints and over exercising will decrease your bone density, deplete vitamins from your body , raise cortisol levels, decrease immunity and leave you with STUBBORN BELLY FAT AND LOVE HANDLES..
The body needs not more than 30 minutes of smart exercise to stay health and if your fat and your trying to lose weight, more exercise DOES NOT mean more exercise…it means looking smartly at your food choices, your alcohol your sleep, your stress your sugar and the consistency of your exercise program.
Does your choice of exercise suit your body or are you just following the latest fad.
The body needs protein to repair and build muscle, but eating excessive amounts won’t do the job better. In fact, in a diet where the protein intake goes beyond 30 per cent of the daily caloric intake, a build up of toxic ketones in the body may occur, causing the kidneys to go into overdrive in an attempt to flush them out. This may lead to a significant loss of water and calcium from the body, causing dehydration and bone loss.
Symptoms include a feeling of weakness and dizziness, dry skin, loss of hair, low appetite, nausea and bad breath. In the long term, this may strain the kidneys, stretch out the liver and put stress on your heart too.
Weight loss efforts go bust too, as excess protein is converted into fat.
Another problem is that while making protein into carbs or fat, the body converts the protein’s nitrogen into urea or uric acid. In large amounts, this can mess up your kidneys, lead to gout (a condition that causes your joints to become inflamed, tender and painful to move) and cause gallstones and kidney stones.”
Be super careful with protein shakes and bars. The body can process only about four to five grams of protein per hour, so the 50 grams you got from that protein bar or shake will take about 10 hours to digest and absorb.
Also, when you replace your meals with protein shakes, you run the risk of missing the vitamins and nutrients you get from real food.
The Japanese eat soya and stay healthy and live longer. It is high in protein and has zero cholesterol. So what could be wrong with that?
That’s true, but what is also true is that most Japanese eat only about 8 to 10g of soy protein a day, and even soya causes problems when eaten in excess. If overeaten, it may promote cancer, dementia, reproductive abnormalities, osteoporosis and thyroid disorders.Increased consumption could also increase a woman’s total estrogen level, which is a risk factor for breast cancer.
For men, excessive soya can raise the risk of infertility, physical changes and hormonal havoc.
The body will only use what it needs…anything in excess becomes fat or waste and both are detrimental to your mind body health.

Fat Loss , Immunity, Cancer - Amazing Curcumin

Korean researchers reviewed the last ten years of curcumin scienceas it applies to supporting weight loss and preventing obesity-related disease. Their conclusion is, “The modulation of several cellular transduction pathways by curcumin has recently been extended to elucidate the molecular basis for obesity and obesity-related metabolic diseases. These findings might enable novel phytochemical treatment strategies as well as curcumin translation to the clinical practice for the treatment and prevention of obesity-related chronic diseases. Furthermore, the relatively low cost, safety and proven efficacy of curcumin make it advisable to include curcumin as part of healthy diet.”

Most recently, high-profile and mainstream cancer researchers at the MD Anderson Cancer Center have explained the extreme benefit of curcumin to prevent cancer and to help treat cancer. This benefit applies especially to types of cancer that are resistant to chemotherapy drugs. One of the authors of the cancer study, Bharat B. Aggarwal, has published a second study on curcumin and weight loss, “Targeting inflammation-induced obesity and metabolic diseases by curcumin and other nutraceuticals.”

Extensive research within the past two decades has revealed that obesity, a major risk factor for type 2 diabetes, atherosclerosis, cancer, and other chronic diseases, is a proinflammatory disease…Curcumin-induced alterations [in inflamed, overweight people] reverse insulin resistance, hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, and other symptoms linked to obesity….Curcumin and the other spices have favorable effects against obesity and insulin resistance as well as against various complications resulting from these diseases.”
Curcumin influences key hormones, supports major body organs, and regulates inflammatory signaling all in ways that help correct or prevent metabolic problems.

Curcumin helps lower inappropriately high levels of leptin (reducing leptin resistance) while boosting the all-important levels of the adiponectin (which lowers insulin resistance).
Curcumin helps activate the fat-burning gene signal PPAR gamma, which also helps to make more new, metabolically-fit fat cells.
Curcumin directly reduces major inflammatory events from occurring inside white adipose tissue (tumor necrosis factor alpha, interleukin-6, and monocyte chemotactic protein-1). When these inflammatory signals are excessively activated in white adipose tissue they keep sending “911” messages to immune cells around your body to come to the white adipose tissue and join in the inflammatory party (like immune cells causing the swelling of a sprained ankle—in this case, sprained fat). By lowering such inflammation, the source of overweight-induced disease is stopped.
Curcumin acts directly on liver cells to help prevent them from becoming fatty. And it works directly on pancreatic beta cells to help them produce insulin normally. By helping the liver and the pancreas, curcumin is taking stress off the two most important organs whose function declines before the onset of type 2 diabetes.
Curcumin helps to lower triglycerides and dangerous small particle LDL cholesterol.
Curcumin lowers the core inflammatory gene signal, NF-kappaB, resulting in a beneficial domino effect throughout the body. One benefit of this domino effect is a direct reduction in the risk of cancer from overweight-induced inflammation.
If any drug on the market did any one of the above in a safe way, it would be a multi-billion dollar blockbuster. This study shows at least seven powerful ways that curcumin can help weight loss and prevent disease—without dangerous side effects. It is little wonder why the pharmaceutical industry wants control of this nutrient.

Belly Fat - Reasons You Are Not Losing It

Belly Fat continues to be the single most sought after goal for women and men and for many men, the desire to achieve a 6 pac is large.

It can be frustrating when you are doing all the right things in terms of work outs and nutrition, but losing belly fat or getting a 6 pac is multi-factorial. There are many many small factors that could be an obstacle to your goal.

Working on these small aspects is an easier alternative to achieving a flat tummy.

- You are exercising too hard. Punishing your body with exercise may work for pro athletes who are on specialised nutrition and supplements , and they eat, train and sleep, thats what they do all day. If a normal person tries this, it will lead to injury, nutritional deficiencies and eventual burn out.

- Sleep is less or not complete. Body repair and growth happens when we sleep and needs roughly 7-8 hours to complete its process. If you sleep less, you are at a higher risk of injury and cardiac arrest. Belly fat and the quantity and quality of your sleep is directly proportionate to each other.

- Stress may be the biggest obstacle. Stress produces higher cortisol levels, and cortisol tells the body or puts the body into fat storage mode. This fat gets accumulated around the mid riff and belly. High cortisol is also produced when work outs exceed 30 - 45 minutes. Cortisl is also elevated in people who sleep less and get on restrictive and unbalanced diets.

- You are doing the wrong work out - gym - cardio doesn't mean you get a 6 pac. You find a workout that you enjoy, thats smart, and that suits your body.Breathing the right way when you exercise is more important than the weight you lift or the reps you do. Remember, fat burns in the presence of oxygen. A 15 minute sprint is more effective than a 1 hour long and boring run on the treadmill. Shorter work outs, explosive movements, core work, plyometrics, body weight exercises, done effectively, produce the best results.

- You are on a low carb, low fat diet. This does not help. Eat good carbs and good fats at the right time and dont over do it on the protein. Protein not used gets stored as fat.

- You have too much sugar and alcohol in your diet.

- You are ageing. Forget the number, your body may be ageing inside due to poor lifestyle choices.

- Hormone imbalance

- Testosterone levels too high

- Your not serious about your goal. Getting a flat tummy requires discipline and some amount of sacrifice and control when it comes to eating outside food, processed food and sugar laden foods.

- You stress too much about your goal - Let it be,,,the more you chase it, the more elusive it gets. Know you are doing the right things for your body and let it be.Stress leads to fat gain.

Good luck !!

The Real Truth About Coconut Oil

Mother Nature is incredibly generous in the way she provides - offering a bounty of fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins, minerals and nutrients to nourish your body so you can enjoy a long healthy life.

One fruit in particular - the coconut - is so abundant in its healing properties it's referred to as "the tree of life." And before World War II, people living in island countries, like the Philippines, consumed a diet that consisted mainly of rice, root crops, vegetables and an abundance of the ultra-healing superfood, the coconut.

The coconut is a "functional food" rich in vitamins, minerals and fiber - the essential nutritional building blocks for perfect health.

For generations, island people considered it "The Cure for All Illness" and consumed the meat, milk and coconut oil daily. Although this diet was high in saturated fat, Western conditions like diabetes, cancer and heart disease were virtually unheard of.

Filipinos and islanders were instead rewarded with a lovely youthful complexion, soft wrinkle-free skin, almost no skin cancer - even with excessive exposure to year round sun - and abundant good health.

Coconut oil in particular has been shown to protect you from viruses, bacteria, infection, cancer, thyroid, brain and heart problems... plus beautifies your skin - and even burns fat!

Coconut oil - a saturated fat - is chock-full of health-promoting properties - and is in no way responsible for high cholesterol, obesity, heart disease and the bad effects you've been led to believe.

Finally, modern medicine and science are starting to realize this fundamental truth... and it's been a long time coming. But sadly not before heart disease, cancer, diabetes, obesity and a whole host of other catastrophic diseases have reached epidemic proportions!
Before World War II, the miracle-healing coconut had been used to help alleviate
  • Coughs
  • Constipation
  • Malnutrition
  • Skin infections
  • Toothaches
  • Earaches
  • Flus
  • Alzheimers, dementia, parkinsons
  • Fat loss
  • Skin and hair
  • And more!

But that all changed when the war ended and the United States proclaimed hydrogenated oils to be the "healthier oils." By the 1960s, a weak scientific theory claimed that saturated fats-like those found in butter, eggs, milk, red meat and coconuts - increased "bad" LDL cholesterol and were dangerous to consume.

Nothing was further from the truth! But this “health scare” was enough to push the public away from saturated fats and instead to refined vegetable oils. This was perfect for food manufacturers because they were far cheaper to produce.
It wasn’t long before Western-style diets made their way to the islands and the old ways were forgotten.

Cheaper, mass-produced hydrogenated foods replaced traditional foods, like the versatile and all-healing coconut oil that had kept the islanders healthy for generations.

And for the first time ever, diseases that had become prevalent among Americans… heart disease, diabetes, cancer and obesity started to plague the island nations.

The 4 worst oils –

Cannola
Cottonseed
Safflower
Soybean

It's no secret breast feeding is about the best thing a mother can do to boost her child's immune system. What makes mother's milk so healthy is that it contains high amounts of lauric acid.

Outside of mother's milk there are only three dietary sources of lauric acid - and coconut oil is the most concentrated of the three!

Top Benefits of Coconut Oil

  • Boosting metabolism and fat loss
  • Improving Thyroid Function
  • Best natural healer for skin and hair
  • Brain health and memory
  • Improve heart health and cholesterol levels
  • Cancer fighter
  • Super food and super detox
  • Treatment of alzheimers, parkinsons, dementia
Use cold pressed virgin coconut oil,,have it raw, add it to your salads, cook in it, add it to your juice...have a tsp or tablespoon before your work out,,add it to your coffee.....

This Molecule Can Change Your Health

Nitric oxide is a molecule that our body produces to help its 50 trillion cells communicate with each other by transmitting signals throughout the entire body.
This molecule is also the 'fountain of youth' secret.
The more nitric oxide your body produces naturally, the younger you stay, mentally and physically.
• help memory and behavior by transmitting information between nerve cells in the brain
• assist the immune system at fighting off bacteria and defending against tumors
• regulate blood pressure by dilating arteries
• reduce inflammation
• improve sleep quality
• increase your recognition of sense (i.e. smell)
• increase endurance and strength
• assist in gastric motility
Nitric oxide is one of the main ‘ingredients’ behind erections, and without the molecule, you simply couldn't’t have a healthy one.
Simply put, nitric oxide makes the body run more smoothly, as oxygen, nutrients, and red blood cells can reach their target tissue and cells faster.
This to me is what makes nitric oxide extremely important, when it comes to immunity, prevention and cure of diseases and maintenance of well being.
The most common way to increase nitric oxide is through exercise. When you run or lift weights, your muscles need more oxygen which is supplied by the blood.
As the heart pumps with more pressure to supply the muscles with blood, the lining in your arteries releases nitric oxide into the blood, which relaxes and widens the vessel wall, allowing for more blood to pass though.
As we age, our blood vessels and nitric oxide system become less efficient due to free radical damage, inactivity, and poor diet, causing our veins and arteries to deteriorate. Think of a fire hose as water rushes through it to put out a fire - it needs to expand enough to handle the pressure, still keeping enough force to put out the fire.
Athletes and youth have the most optimal nitric oxide systems, reflecting their energy and resilience.
When you eat foods that contain natural nitrates, the bacteria in your tongue converts them into nitritines…
…And once you swallow the food, the bacteria in your gut converts the nitritines into nitric oxide
And fortunately, nitrate rich foods are easy to obtain and they’re also quite cheap…
…Here’s a list of few great foods packed with natural nitrates:
Spinach, beets, celery, aragula lettuce, iceberg lettuce, carrots, parsley, cabbage, radishes, collard greens, etc.
It’s a well known medical fact that vitamin C increases nitric oxide production in the body, and that it also protects the molecules.
Garlic on the other hand is filled with nitrates, and it also contains a compound called quercetin, which is linked to increased NO levels
eat plenty of grapes, red wine, onions, and garlic
Get plenty of safe sunlight
CQ10 from food sources, such as from: salmon, grassfed red meat, animal organs, egg yolks, Brazil nuts, and spinach.
Remember in the tip number #1 how I said that the bacteria in your tongue converts nitrates into nitritines, and then your gut continues the process by converting the nitritines into NO?
Well, that process never occurs if you’re a ‘heavy user’ of mouthwashes.
Listerine and the likes, tend to destroy all of the bacteria in your mouth (remember not all bacteria is bad) so that the nitrates can’t convert into nitritines.
Exercising and staying active is amazingly awesome for pretty much everything. After all, we were never meant to sit around all day.
We should be constantly on the move, walking, climbing, etc.
And pretty much all kinds of exercise (all the way from walking into furious strength training) has been shown to increase nitric oxide levels, both, temporarily and the baseline.
Something as simple as increasing nitrix oxide in your body can make you feel healthy, strong and fit.

Your Skin - Largest Organ of Elimination

We look at detox plans for out liver, kidneys and for weight loss. What I would like to discuss today, is the largest organ of elimination in our body.

The skin is indeed an organ, though we don’t always think of it as such. Actually, it is the largest, chief organ we have that helps to detoxify our cells so that we can stay healthy, full of energy, and disease-free. Our skin can even ‘taste’ what we put into it, very literally. If you rub a garlic clove on the bottom of the foot, for instance, you may just be able to soon taste garlic as if you had eaten it.

Our skin absorbs everything we expose it to. This includes the lotions, perfumes, and cosmetics we put on it, as well as the water we bathe in. Due to the sheer surface area that the skin takes up, it is key in helping us to stay healthy.

1. Eliminate Chemical-Laden Products

Start by eliminating lotions, soaps, and cosmetics that contain toxic chemicals known as parabens. Parabens cause estrogenic activity in the body, which can lead to breast cancer and birth defects if used for multiple generations. They can also lower sperm count in men, and cause reproductive issues in women. There are actually thousands of chemicals you’d rather not put into your body in shampoos, conditioners, soaps and other personal care items, so start with paraben elimination and then think of choosing cosmetics and cleansers that use only (or many) organic ingredients.

2. Dry Skin Brushing

Dry Skin Brushing is imperative for supporting your other organs of detoxification, like the liver, kidneys and the digestive organs. Dead skin cells and excreted waste from our pores can build up and clog the skin so that it cannot continue to detox from the inside out. We sweat when we participate in sports or other activities, but our skin is ‘clogged’ so that we cannot expel toxins, and so they get trapped in the dermis. This can cause acne, hives, skin rashes and other unsavory effects. Dry skin brushing helps. Always use a natural brush and make sure your skin is dry when you begin, leading in toward the lymph glands and heart. This will also increase lymphatic flow, which helps to detox the body and boost immunity.

3. Sweating

Another way for detoxing the body, sweating is a great way to reduce toxic burdens. Physical activity that makes you sweat is one great way to eek out the toxins, but so is a dry sauna. If you have access to one, make sure you hydrate well, with water or coconut water since it is full of potassium, and then sit in a sauna to undergo thermal depuration, a fancy term that means – sweat plenty. Sweat can contain all kinds of toxins, from heavy metals to pesticides, and as an added benefit, dry saunas can help to break up fat deposits faster where many toxins are stored so that they can be excreted from the body.

Your water intake is extremely important. Most water soluble toxins get eliminated from the body through the skin and we need to have sufficient water intake to support this natural process.

A diet rich in vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds help the skin detox effectively.

Beware of the kind of clothes you wear. The material should allow the skin to breathe and eliminate toxins easily.

No matter what the cream and lotion adds say, they will clog and block your pores limiting elimination. Oil is probably the best natural moisturiser for skin, as it gets absorbed into it directly.

The more toxins that get accumulated in your body, the more dangerous it is for you.

Toxins in excess lower immunity and can give rise to many diseases.
Alternating between a hot and cold shower jumpstarts and activates elimination through the skin

A weekly Epsom salt bath also works wonders to help the body eliminate toxins through the skin.

Be aware of dry cleaning. Most dry cleaners use a solvent containing a chemical called perchloroethylene, or PERC. This is a probable human carcinogen that leads to cancer as per the WHO.
If you dry clean your clothes, once you get them back from the cleaner, air them out for atleast 24 hours before wearing them and keep them out of the plastic covering that they come in

Use all of the above to help your skin do its natural job of elimination. The less toxins you have in you, the healthier you are.
